G'day there!

Post by ozpacman »

Hi ladies and gents,

Brand new to the forum and just introducing myself. I'm interested in obtaining a GA-GB Galant to have some fun with. I am aware of a 1 owner example which has been sitting for several years so will see how I go!

What is the parts situation like for the early Galants. Things like windscreen and window rubbers etc. What about mechanical bits like water pumps and carb kits and so on?

Cheers,

Russ

Thanks Undies,

I'm in Cairns Qld, so Sydney is a fair way to go! The car I'm hoping to pick up is in Queensland so I'll bide my time and see how I go. I've known about this car for years and never given it much thought until now. It should be saved I reckon!

Cheers,

Hey mate,
Welcome to the site.

Windscreens & rubbers, well O'Briens have been pretty good in the past for both (GD my self, but they were able to get GA)
Water pumps & kits shouldn't be too much hassle either.

Planning to leave it standard or have a bit of a play?

Thanks guys,

The car I have my eye on belongs to an extended family member so it's a matter of a bit of negotiation. It's in good original nick but a bit tired from sitting out in the weather. It's in Western Qld so rust wise it's very good - just a bit sunburnt!

If I can manage to get my hands on it, it'll be a resto and kept standard.

Cheers and thanks for the parts info.

Russ.
