Hey People, Go the old GAL..

Post by ken26tgalant »

Finally it seems i have found a heap of people that share the same love as me.. Sigmas and Galants.. Or how about boosted sigma motors in galants... now thats fun.. I dont know what took me so long to find this sit i've been building my galant for years and thought i was just struggling by myself!! Well i own a 1975 CG Coupe, or at least half of one... the other half is a bit rusty but getting fixed as i speak.. im running a 2.6L injected sigma motor with a T04 good for about 250kw.. Anyways that's all im giving away on my first post but im sure now that ive found this joint you'll hear from me a bit.. will upload some pics of my car when i get this bloody camera to co-operate with my computer.. peace guys...

Thanks, it needs some work!!!, i think there is too much rust to deal with, not sure, how hard is it to get spare panels and parts for a 1975, will need a new bonnet and ass to start with plus a drivers side window?

you cant get panels, have to fabricate or get off a donor car. only spare panels i have seen are rear quarters and stone guard from rare spares.

windo just contact glass place? or ask someone on here.. PM sent

That galant was a piece '. Was rusted beyond belief.
The bonnet from GD/ GC are the same. Guards are different but you can make them fit. Coupe front guards are same as GD sedan. Still to find out if sedan front doors are same as wagon (rears are different)? I think the wagon rear doors are same as GA/ GB if you change the window chanels and glass.
How bad are your panels?
May be easier to fix.....

trust me i know my coupes backwards... my coupe is like a demon in my dreams it never leaves me alone.. The entire front end is the same in the coupes as the GD twin headlight setup.. the grill is slightly different but not much.. the seats bolt straight up and you can use all window winder and door lock bits.. but as for window regulators and pretty much everything further back apart from seatbelts it's useless

you bought that car off ebay? :\ How much did it go for?

GC/GD are compatible with almost anything other then what members stated.

75/76 is the same, wont have no issues.
