Just found out it's up and running again.
Can't say I spend time on forums these days but there's a wealth of info here so good to see it's still going.

Yeah forums seem so outdated in terms of format. But keen to read through some of the old stuff!

Also just found out on fb.

What a blast from the past; going to be honest, kinda prefer these old forum layouts over social media.... way better.

Good to see all the old info still here too!

I was thinking about throwing up a thread for everyone to post pics of their current rides and what they used to have back in the day. But I can't figure out how to post pics anymore lol 🙂

Looks like photobucket is long gone - it now wants you to pay to upload photos. I can't see that the forum has an upload option either. So I wonder where you can put pics to link to here.....🤔

I may have to pester you at some stage. Mine's still in pieces awaiting the space for a full rebuild and refresh. It's been my one and only car since I turned 18 thirty years ago so I thought it deserved a birthday present. (But then I lost my shed space)

anyone found a photobucket alternative? perhaps can instagram work for image hosting? might be easy to create a car based dummy account for the sake of hosting.
If we find an alternative i will throw a build thread together for the scorp and a few other projects. I figure the best way to generate traffic and get things moving is to generate content

The SG Facebook page should be linkable, but it might be too time consuming for admin. If you uploaded a heap of pics there, admin might be able to move them to a "Forum upload folder" or something. The pics could stay in the main visitor feed but they might not have the same context as they would here....

Re: Are we be back?

threw a google photos account together gon see if it will host/link

Image

ugh. this was a pain in the ass process, but if you already have google tracking your every move and keeping a copy of everything you have might as well.
anyway will throw up some build threads to get some chat going and some traffic moving and when ive got a better handle on this google images process will talk people through it if they want...

oh and this is a pic of my DOHC 4G63 i am messing with

Imgur is my choice of image hosting website. It's very much like photobucket used to be. Completely free, it's technically a social media site but you can just upload everything as "private" and still share it with the link.
