Why hello there!

Hey there, my name's Andy and I'm about to purchase a GH Sigma Turbo.

I'm not sure on the build number at this stage, but I do know that it's seen a few owners in it's time. The first owner of the car is unknown, but the second owner and subsequent owners are all good friends of mine. To-date, the car has seen 5 owners excluding myself. Chances are, that the car is known to some people - time will tell!

From what I can gather, the car is mechanically still in totally stock form, including the factory 15" Montego alloys, but has had the rear can (muffler) lopped off, in favour of just a straight piece of pipe. It's a Silver-over-Black specimen with the factory interior still intact also.

I've managed to pick the car up dirt cheap, as it is dire need of some TLC (fair bit of rust around the front and rear windscreens, in the bottom of the rear quarters, in the bottom of the front quarters, and strangely enough... in the middle of the bootlid?), which I intend to give it.

At this stage, it will be used as a daily runner, and will sit along side my other toy - Holden WH Statesman International

Once I've got the car in my hot little hands, I'll chuck up some more information and a couple of photos for you all.

rust in the middle of a panel boot, bonnet is not uncommon in the aussie
built mitsi range
its a combo of seam sealer on the renforcement under the skin and the fact
that the car sat around in bare metal for days sometimes weeks before being
poorly painted
production cars proudly built by aussies you gota love that!

Ah, that explains that then Had a feeling it was something to that effect - just means more rust to cut out and repair...

Yeah, I've been told that by many people and by going by my own research, there's only a handful left that are still getting around in original (or even close to) form.

There’s a few people over here who I know personally who have owned Sigma Turbo's in days gone by, one of which works at a performance workshop, and he still has an infatuation for them Good news for me!

Undecided at this stage - the thought of a 2.6L bottom-end, with Magna head and EFI gear to the side is mighty tempting, especially considering that finding someone to tune a PowerFC tuned over here to suit the Magna ECU would be a piece of cake

But... keeping original and restoring it to former glory would be nice too

Should be picking the car up any day now! First thing on the agenda is a new windscreen, then time to attack the rust!

Having done a little more research, I've decided that should I go down the 2.6L EFI path, I will use the Magna ECU with an SAFC instead, much easier to tune.
