Australian AB Cordia 'GSL-R'

Post by CordiaGSR »

Owner of an 1985 AB Cordia 'GSL-R' (GSL to GSR conversion) with now best of both worlds option-wise including power steering, windows, mirrors (standard), A/C & now also the EFI.

Family owned from around '94, it was off the road for 2 years due to a minor front end accident back in 2009-2010. So it was my duty to save it from being scrapped.

No recent photos as it's still a work in progress but here are a few from over the years.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks for the welcome Scorpma82.

The cars exterior condition is a little worse for wear now fast forward a few years, though once I'm finished with it mechanically the body & paint will be next which is not too far off.

A good brake upgrade (if your looking for one)

is to put Magna/Galant front struts and brake on the Cordia....seen it done on an IPRA Vic racing Cordia

It currently has been upgraded with TN Magna front brakes, though suspension-wise it still has an average set of Munroe struts with King springs, the plan is to upgrade to a pair of Evo 1-3 adjustable coilovers which require slight modification to the strut tower holes & top hats but a very worthy upgrade from what I have been told.

Is there any spec list or links on the IPRA Vic racing Cordia Scorpma82?

It's a black Cordia (I don't know the models I'm sorry)

From what I'm aware...its a fairly simple setup, very minimal dollars spent on the car but does seem to be a very good bang for your buck lil track pack (this is the car that showed me the Magna/Galant hubs, brakes and struts trick)

If you google IPRA VIC...you should come up with the main page...find the drivers details page and look for Wayne Twist....he's the owner/driver of the car
