New to forums, just picked up a 1979 D50

Post by blowncommo »

Just bought a D50 on the weekend, absolute bargain at $1600. 151xxx original Kms...
Curious as to what it's worth and where the best place for original parts would be?
Also I'm going to slap a 225 slant in her with a shortened tail shaft, heavy duty diff, three speed floor shift and a four barrel Holley. Thoughts?

D50 - that's an MA L200 express right? There's not much in the way of new replacement non-mechanical stuff but I have seen things like a NOS chrome bumper pop up on eBay but it's not common...

Yep :) MA L200 express ute..

If you're going the trouble for a leaning tower of power, why not try for a 245? That would be interesting :D

None the less, I'm sure we will be amazed by the work

Cheers,
Mick :)
