Me and a mate have entered ourselves in the shitbox rally (Next year is from Perth to Darwin via Broome, Gibb River Rd etc). For those not familiar with it, the even raises funds for Cancer Council, and the rules state that including rego, prep and buying the car, you should spend less than a grand.
As cruel as it is to call a Sigma a shitbox, we figured a Sigma would be the best car in our budget (Figure buying for 3-400). We are both mechanically minded, and friends used to race a class 5 sigma off roader back in the day, and have given us the tips to make it indestructible (or close to).
So all we really need is a Mighty Sigma, would prefer a 2.6, with a 5 speed, but open to suggestions.
We are located in SA, anyone have anything that might fit the bill. It doesn't have to be pretty (perhaps the rougher the better).
