Hey,
I bought a one owner Galant a month or so ago and am in the process of doing a few light modifications including wheels and lowering.
I have started a new thread in the suspension category for help with getting the drop that I want.
Any help is much appreciated.

Awesome 16L mate, nice pick up. Would love some more info about it, plans and of course more pictures.

I bought it as part of an estate of an old woman that owned it since what I believe was the mid 70's and there was only one owner before her.
It's done 100,000 miles and was completely original.
Since I bought it, I have removed the tow bar, repainted the front grill, taken off the sheepskin seat covers and cleaned up the front seats with a toothbrush.
I have spent the majority of a couple of days polishing the paint and chrome to get it looking pretty damn good.
The top surfaces need an aggressive cutter to get the years of watermarks out of the one stage paint. I have tried a few less abrasive products but don't have enough experience with one stage paint to get it right so am about to organise a professional to have a look at it.
I have bought some Advanti Takashi's as a temporary wheel until I find some Original Japanese wheels with a good fitment.
The Takashi's are 15x7 with a 15p offset and I couldn't have got anything any wider on the front or with a lower offset.. I don't think.
Now that the wheels are fitted, the car looks like a monstertruck so I am looking to lower it asap.
The front suspension is the big issue, the only springs that Autolign Suspension can provide only give me 1.5" drop.
I need to find another reasonably cheap way of getting the drop I am after.
Here's a mock up of when I was first considering wheel combinations.

Looks great mate, polished up a treat. Can't help you with suspension sorry mate, my 16L is going to be 100% stock.
On my A112H (1850) I have fitted custom coilovers to the front so can get it nice and low.

Does anyone know where I could get some new window seals, as in the felt that is inside the door that stops the windows from being scratched as they a wound down?

Just bought some new wheels. They're on their way from Japan.
They arrive in 6 weeks, looking forward to putting them on.
They're Work Equip 03's.
14 x 6.5 + 4 / 14 x 7 -2
Should fit pretty well.
Still need to sort out lowering. Things take heaps longer to do now that I'm working full time and the lowering specialists only work during the week.
