Have you seen John's Mk2? I was the one who found it for him, (he was after a car suitable to club sport that was 2ltr or under), and I was also the one who sprayed it for him.

I have seen images of John's cortina, and must say from what i have seen it will be a very nice and clean car. :thumpsup:

Finally got my manifold back :D :D

Must say the engine builder did a top job on it.

I now need to get new hoses and gaskets (as the original ones have perished), and paint the top of the radiator then its back to driving her again. :D

While my manifold is fixed and is ready to put back in i have ANOTHER set back. I have decided to replace the water pump as the hose had barely anything to clamp onto, while doing so one of the stud bolts was tight which resulted in the head snapping off. :banh:

I have since been to supercheap to get penetrate which in the hope it will loosen the bolt, but after spraying half a can its still in there.

Would taking the timing cover off be the best bet of getting it out?? i am itching on getting it back on the road (i hate seeing it broken in the driveway)

I have also repainted the radiator (will post pics up soon) aswell as cleaned up some other things and get new fanbelts. ;-)


Even though it might be broken, it doesn't stop me putting some stickers on :thumpsup:

I remember seeing this sigma on carsales...

Instantly I said to myself, OK! Im buying this....

haha, Funny you say that, when i first say it, i thought that its been bogged up or hacked in some way, but then when i went to look at it and it was clean, with no rust what so ever, and it drove nicely, so i said SOLD!

Went and got my cash ready and picked it up the same day i saw it. :D

The car is now 90% back together, finally got that bolt out :D , and changed the dizzy cap, plug leads and spark plugs and most of the fuel line and the hosing for the pollution gear. I have painted the radiator and that is ready to go back in, cleaned the carby, and found that the secondary's have NEVER been opened so they got cleaned out :P

Haven't updated this in a while, been busy getting my set of turbo wheels polished, and fixing up some issues as they come up :D :D

I'm glad I went with the turbo wheels and not the pepperpots :thumpsup:

Leaving style out of the argument, the advantage of Pepperpots is the extra offset they have over turbo rims. I don't have a measurement but I can get it to prove what the difference is. I know someone who has both types of rim in their shed.

Me personally, I think both rims look alright, it just depends what car they're going onto.

It's been a while since I have updated my build. All the suspension has been rebuilt including new shocks, springs, bushes, etc. All new steering is in the car and a new set of extractors along with the exhaust has all been done.
I have decided to go EFI so now starting to gather all the required parts.

Took the car out for a drive and to take some photos, thought I'd share.

Some more updates, been getting the car ready for EFI including polishing some bits and bobs.

I have finished sanding down and polishing my rocker cover, and putting a mint GSR spoiler on the car too.

Shouldn't be to much longer before the car goes down to MR 2600 Racing and gets EFI'd. :D

The car has just about been converted to EFI, just in the process of being wired up, should be ready in a couple of weeks.

Very nice, who did the fab work for the manifold, also love the coil setup i have LS2 coils for mine ready to go.

Yes it is, running quad throttlebodies.

Got the car back weekend before last, car made 105hp at the wheels, and made 450lb of torque.

beautiful work, I'm sure i have seen your car going through strathfield in the arvo,a while back but could not get close enough,either way super clean car and nice detailing work ,tourqe figures are very impressive. :thumpsup:

the old radiator had a large crack in the top tank, so i put a quad core aluminum radiator in.

I'd thought about how a redline manifold and match paired throttle bodies would fit in a Sigma - it's cloooose but the end product looks awesome! Good end result with both finish and power output figures :thumpsup:

Where did you buy this quad core radiator from? Is it custom made for you or was it a off the shelf item for Sigmas and/or other cars? I've been looking for a better radiator for my GE Sigma for years! I'll need it specially now that I'm modifying my engine even more.

The radiator is a PWR one, it is the same dimensions as the standard sigma radiator, however some surgery will be required as the bottom tank is wider than the standard radiator tank.

Managed to score myself a ticket to the upcoming Shannon's Sydney Classic car show, so thought I should give the Sigma a thorough detail. Started with the engine bay and added some new pieces. Added a custom alloy catch can, overflow bottle and washer bottle.

Spent the weekend polishing them up.

I displayed my Sigma at its first car show today. Took it to the Shannon's Sydney Classic at Eastern Creek, where there is usually over 1200 classic cars on display of all shapes and sizes and from various eras. I was the only Mitsubishi there today, which is a bit sad, but plenty of people were coming over to check it out. There were a heap of 80's Japanese stuff there from Dattos to Celicas, there was even a very cool Jap Toyota Limousine called a Century. This thing had all the luxury items you could think of, including powered rear seats which could massage you and a cooler to chill your beer.

I was next to another 80''s classic which was this genuine Cosworth Sierra RS500.

The highlight of the day is getting to do a couple of laps of the track which was a blast. Got to do the full circuit and give it a bit of a squirt around the new section at corporate hill.

And speaking of race tracks, here is a picture of my next project. A MK2 Ford Escort which we are about to transform into a track car with a turbo charged 2.0L Cosworth engine.
