good luck with the search. i had always wanted an old 2 door lancer or galant hard top. if you hold out eventually the right thing will find you . i found my current lancer looking for simmons wheels for a vl commodore. was by complete chance.
Finding ALF was complete chance! =/ A mate of my fathers found him for me... and is now on the look out and asking around for another one... no luck thus far :-(
I found that mine had been sitting in my dad's garage for 15+ years :$

Extremely shitty news. It's so frustrating and saddening to see senseless destruction like this.
I hope the little turd-burglar(s) that did this are caught and nailed upside down by their scrotums / other associated genitalia.

Best of luck with the search.
Mate, I don't reckon they have balls.
Whatever little bit they do have, they wanna say goodbye too when we find out who they are.

so sad you need to find the little darlings that did this and remove there fingers so they cant steal again , then remove there eyes so they cant see what they would like to steal , then remove there tongue so the cant tell who did it to them , then tattoo thief on there forheads just my two cents worth  best of luck with the new ones

Maybe we could pull together as a team here guys?
If you are interested in this car I am sure we could get a cross country relay to get it to you. I would be happy to drive it from Adelaide to the Vic border, anyone else keen to do a leg?

I tried to call the guy and got no answer :( I have sent an email, let you know how I get on.
Seaford is about an hour and a half maybe 2 hours from me. There are 3 or 4 members down that way that might have a look, if not I can go for a drive on Sunday.

I hope these bastards pay, honestly they will get a slap on the hand, altho to me its murder.
I was reading an article a few days ago, a guy was on a cocktail of drugs, stole and burnt 3 cars in 1 night, he got away with it, why??? His excuse was "I was unaware of my actions as I was on drugs and I could not Control myself as 'I' was not 'ME' at the time".
Punishment was a $100 fine.....that's it.

"Do the crime; pay the time"... that's what people should live by.
They may get away with it "legally"... but it's not the legal shit they've gotta worry about... it's the people they've hurt...
They'll pay... They are going to regret this for the rest of their lives...

never seen a carbie melt like that before. the rest of the engine looks like it'll run just got to change dizzy, carbie, alternator, new timming belt and radiator fan plus hoses and oil cap. Not too sure that engine is a 2 litre either, it looks more like a 1.6 belt driven saturn motor (4g32b) out of an early sigma

If you're talking about the engine on these pics i'm more thinking about a 4g63. The 2 liter (4g52) has the alternator on the LH side of the engine, the 4g32 (1.6) and 4g63 (the twin carb version i have) has it on the RH side. But i don't know where the 2.6 has it...

The rocker cover of a 4g32 is completly flat and doesn't have the "bulge" at the firewall-side. 4g63 has it as far as i know.

Very sad pictures :( Poor Alf.
Sorry I didn't get back to you about that Galant but I got a text message from GB_BB4C saying he had looked already :) Saved me a trip and got you an answer. Thanks GB_BB4C.
That is definately a 4G63 SOHC, non turbo version of a Starion engine.
While you are replacing bits and pieces to get it ready for the GD I have a Efi manifold and some other bits from a HH Galant you can have for postage cost if you want to go Efi?
