I remember doing that to my loom. So many wires to connect. It is all worth it in the end when you end up with a nicely fitting loom.

TVM006 wrote:You got measurements for that loom?
Na, no measurements. I ran the loom in the car while it was apart, cable tied it, and and used that as what lengths to use. The pic below is how I did it, but was at an early stage when I was going to run the loom through the firewall where the AC pipes went.
Image

I later changed my mind and ran it through above the wheel well. That is when I needed to extend the loom. I pretty much just cut off the ECU plugs, used as much of another loom as I could, and joined them together.

TVM006 wrote:And what are those fuses for?
This is the wiring diagram I made for how I attached the Magna loom to the Sigma loom. It has what fuses I used, and what amperage I used.

Currently trying to decide whether making an adapter throttle body plate for the plenum chamber i have now.. or buy another plenum that is already modified and has the right mount for magna throttle body.. problem with the later is im pretty sure my modified inlet has an extra water gallery so it might not be a good idea... Damn

Thanks ;-)

I'm at a crossroad, im getting so much negativety from a lot of ppl i see on a daily basis in my area. All are discouraging me from doing up my siggy.
I really want to but at the same time i see that most of money is going towards her and i need efi and paint job done b4 round Jan-Feb this upcoming year.
I just donno what i should do in my situation.

I mean hell i plan to stop spending so much money after i finish efi conversion and paint job, but will i regret it when i could buy another car 'better' car?

I love my Sig, But when it comes down to it i need a car that is going to be reliable as a daily.. being at 320,000 odd km's i just dunno if worth all this money going into the car when it may not last i just dunno.

I would love to prove all these ppl wrong but at the same time, if i go through with it and it dies in the butt within a year or 2 im gonna look like such a ... you know what..

Any thoughts :\

commodores and holdens, skylines and s13's too these days. theyre like assholes, everyones got one..

you can always put your motor in a galant for instant respect

If you really love the car like really love it, then what others say or do shouldn't matter because you have an opportunity to take something that's there and add a part of you to it, and as long as you have its allowed to break down but once again if you really do love it, you'll fix it, it may be alot of money to start off with, but even if you sold it now 98% of cars being sold in car yards as walk in drive out packages still end up needing some work so you have 2 options here.

sell the gsr that you could of made your own and been happy with
or buy something else every one else has and probably end up spending more due to neglected services

your engine can die but you can replace that but if a pet does, that cant quite be replaced.
i copped quite a bit of shit for spending so much time on my car by friends and others but im using that as motivation to show them that with a little time and love you can have something different something that represents you something you wont get from just buying a regular car and driving it, it inst a chase for power or speed or respect of others it should be just what you enjoy man

+1

i started with my first scorp when i was 16 and had no mechanical knowledge/experience... i put 4 engines through that scorpion i loved it so much, untill the rust got too bad... so i bought a better one :) since then ive had galants lancers and a sigma, ive spent heaps on car parts.. but the first part i bought for my first scorpion is on my lancer now... its only a gearknob but it holds abit of sentmental value to me... i guess what im saying is i can justify spending large amounts of money on parts cos im ALWAYS gunna have something astron powered

my mum tells me i should save up and buy a better car.. i say there are no better cars, if i had more money i'd spend it on this one :)

also, im in tas.. but are you sure you can't have efi on your p's? is it because it needs a mod plate and you cant drive a modified car on your p's or something? does efi really need to be engineered?

I have a friend like that, he always says "Mitsubishi's are shit, they're only good to be paddock bashers because they're gutless and fuck up too easy," I ask whether that opinion is based on the general impression that people have or on experience, he goes "Experience" then gets angry when I ask for proof

Looks to be coming along reasonably well, nice to know I'm not the only dodgy bastard with a bypassed heater :P

Soooo.....

the Sigma is Dad's current daily and will be so until the end of this year.

I'm finding myself changing my mind over and over and i just can't decide.
It pretty much comes down to *money* and how much saving i'll be doing hahaha.

This is where I'm at.

To finish the Sigma to what i want it's gonna cost me prob 3k min.
That inc.
-Paint Job
-Suspension
-Engine rebuild
-Either Twin Sidedraughts OR Microtech EFI ...both N/A

OR I could just buy a VR4 Galant...

Yet to decide, a descent priced Microtech setup has popped up so I'm trying to decide rather than missing out and beating myself up for it in the long run.
