My Canary "sikma" :D

Post by SIKMA »

Hi, finally picked up car today and got all the paper work done! :D

It is a 1982 GJ Sigma, full resprayed in canary yellow over black, front lip, GSR spoiler, full pioneer sound system, Stage 3 cammed, upped compression, twin carbys and a whole lot more. It has taillights off the GN, grill off a scorp.

These are the long awaited pics:

Will try and get some pics of the engine bay up but for now, these will do since I took them on the day we picked it up. I will also try and get a list up of all the modifications done to the car asap. :D

Very tidy Sikma.
Body look nice and straight.
I might be too old, but the one thing I would change straight away if the fuel filler cover. I'd get rid of the Mitsubishi badge and paint it in yellow. And while you're at it why not paint the strip between the headlights and the front bumper yellow. I don't know why it isn't? (not trying to be critical, just if I bought it that's what I'd do)

Other than that, sweet as

LOL u know what? Thats exactly what I was thinking. :D First thing i will have to do is fix up that strip under the headlights, then the fuel filler cap lol. I also plan to fix up the tiny rust spots on it before it starts spreading. If you haven't noticed, its got a front lip but its not from a gsr :P

yep, thats a decepticon badge :P
nice car - different from the norm....
i like the colour combination but there are a few things i would have done different
- get rid of bonnet scoops - maybe go sigma turbo ones?
- mould the guage pods into the dash a bit more (smooth it rather than a big bump...)
- the other things dave said about fuel cap and underneath lights etc
- paint the fuel tank black
- lower it a little bit more
but thats just my style, and giving you a few ideas maybe

good luck with the car man, hope all goes well

brendon-
I believe these are aftermarket wheels. I do not know the brand and model of them though, however I have seen them around. And yes, decepticon badges (:

77galantv6-
Thanks for the ideas :D, would love to fix up a few things, but im a bit low on $$$ atm :P got my main project car. After christmas I should be able to though (Y)

defs gonna fix that front bit under lights and the fuel cap though. I actually dont mind the bonnet scoops lol, since they have some sort of use, ones feeding straight to a poddy.

slo-
Picked it up from a guy in Vic, dont think hes part of this forum though :/ I actually hated those rims when i first bought the car, but its somehow grown over me lol, i might change them when the tyres wear out though, hence the WTB: pepperpots thread i made, looks like no ones selling any lol ):

interesting, there was a similar if not the same car here in sa a while ago, entered a few show n shines and noticed it had forsale on it then noticed it a few streets from me but that would have been probably 2 years ago, if its the same car it was turbo'd and lower with difference rims but it could just be a coincidence :D

I noticed the car was originally from WA when i read the owners manual. The previous owner showed me some pics from when it was stock as rock. Was silver, then he start working on the engine and only last year he got the respray. He was planning to supercharge it...lol, I would of turboed it to make up for the top end power :P

TUFSIG-
Pretty sure the wheels are straight bolted on, but I will see if i can check the specs of them tonight. You happen to have a spare set of pepperpots? :P

P.S. let me know if you are gettin rid of those rims

Just my 2 cents,
But I don't think turbo rims look any good on anything after a GH. I don't know why.
