Ok, so it's been too fkn hot, plus I've been too busy to do much on her lately, but it's at least 20 degrees cooler today, so I took out all the central locking and alarm system, door cards, rear window, and will eventually replace all the windows with Perspex except the front maybe?!?

Cheers, I reckon I'll run pulp with the 1600 in it, then when Evo motor goes in, might step up to e85, still unsure at the moment..

Pump E85 once the new motor goes in. Just so much nicer on cast pistons.

So I'll let the paint "Gas out", then will source and apply the Tommi Makinen graphics.

Bonnet is all but finished..

Taking out the piece of window channel that creates the rear triangle window, really creates a different look to the car..

For comparison...

It's coming along...

Forgot to mention, I will be making a one piece polycarbonate rear door(s) window, and painting the black window channel back on. All but the front windscreen will be replaced with said polycarbonate, front windscreen will be done down the track a bit. I reckon at least half the weight of the back doors is just in the glass and winder mechanisms. I'm gunna weigh it all up and find out (front doors too).

Cheers mate, got a feeling she wont be fully painted for Winton this Friday, might be a couple of panels still in undercoat, but that wont affect the fun factor!

Ok, so swapped the generic brand catchcan filter for the nice little K&N piece, then used the generics and made a fuel cell breather under the car.

Got some polycarbonate (aka: Lexan), made rear, and all side windows, riveted the rear in, siliconed the sides into place, will make a slide hole for the drivers side front.

Time to get it all back together tomorrow!

Another update, its been a crazy busy time on the Lancer of late, and she's ready to roll!!

Put it all back together today with help from my father, he also did the last of the outside paint on it.

So here's the latest few pics.

Off to Winton tomorrow to give her a test.

So down the track a bit, there will be a front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser, and wider rubber, as I'd like to get into a bit of time attack,

May be worth using some thin cable to get some triangulation on the wing up rights at a later date. Looks mint though. (H)

Well done man! RVR motor and brakes. Low 1:40's easy..

Living the SG life. :)

Haha, cheers mate, was a fun day! Yeah the engine has far greater potential, it needs a proper tune, and most definetly some half decent tyres and brakes. Can't wait to do the rvr motor, but I feel I should give this engine a chance, to see how it goes seeing as its only done about 1000k's of street use.
