Don't remember which bush is in the back of the crank to be quite honest, although I do remember it being a bronze bush with a normal tolerance.

What difference does it make on the head diameter of the flywheel bolts?

We are tearing out the torque converter bolts not the flywheel?

Standard they used a steal bush the reason I asked about the flex plate bolts is if the head is any bigger then 17mm it will very slightly touch the snout of the converter as it go's into the crank this in turn loosens the converter bolts and then they pull out of the threads and chew up anything around them. Also asking as you have used a billet flex plate which is normally thicker like a flywheel so you might have been tempted to use manual flywheel bolts which have a 19mm head. I am not questioning your work or ability just trying to share some info as I have had these issues myself with these transmissions and it was a fair bit of trial and error before it was sorted. After all big block chevs run 3 converter bolts and you don't hear of to many failures with them.

Yes I can see where your coming from.

Definitely no clearance issues on the head of the flywheel bolts to the torque converter nose.

Any experience is worth listening to - you will never hear otherwise from me.

Don't get mislead by writing on a forum which never indicates the true meaning of what is being written due to the lack of inflection and emotion in the words.

Slowly working away at our vehicle - since I decided the car need a complete rewire - got bogged down and in between, had idiots damaging both front guards on the vehicle.

The original relay & fuse system has been replaced with a Racepack Smart Wire module - should have the wiring fully finished by early next week and then run the car up again on the dyno and finish tuning it. Hopefully won't break anything else this time. Massive reduction in wiring and much simpler system as well, especially as it talks on the can bus system with the Haltech ECU and IQ3 Display Dash.

Might be the first time I have the car ready at the beginning of a season.
