Nice, that motor is from a Galant VR-4 'Evolution' which has 510cc injectors, TD05H big 16G, larger intercooler and piping, 'ECI-MULTI' writing on the manifold etc from factory. They have 3.909 ratio like Evo1-3 along with vents on the bonnet and extra vents below the main grille on the bumper. They have 240PS from the factory as opposed to 205PS and 220PS for the other VR-4 models.

haha as if buddy!

I've owned this thing for well over six months now and I've had literally dozens of other 6th gen Galants dating back almost ten years ago!

I don't want to toot my own horn but I feel I know 6th gen Galants almost inside out and upside down!

I have sold my 8g VR-4 now and was thinking about a 6g VR-4 for some daily fun. Anything I should look at where test driving??

check for noisey lifters, clunkyness in the gear changer and hard to shift at high revs, rust at the base of the A pillar and around the front and rear windscreens, rust under the parcel tray in the boot, any play in the turbo and smokeyness on and off boost/on cold start-up, check wear of hanger bearings of the driveshaft, check all 8 CV boots, check transfer case for leaking at driveshaft end, check engine for leaks at both crank and cambelt ends.

Basically they're a 20year old car now so check and treat them accordingly. The 4G63 is alot more robust than the 6A12 or 6A13 but certainly not as quick in stock form.
