The person I bought it off told me it was imported??
It does have a independent rear

I'm thinking it's an ex-NZ car....it's got all the hallmarks of one

great find!!!!!!

Even if you just cleaned it up as a standard motorcar it will be a solid 'head turner'

There was an 84 model direct import floating around when I first got hold of my Sigma. Back in the "4G54 Forum" days. The guy was from Sydney (know as Joe..do not know what his name was ) and he was basically the Sigma Guru at the time. He had a white one. He moved to Brisbane and had his import on the market for ages. He just wanted too much money for it. His was an auto.

there are a couple of these around, see how you go looking up galant turbo 2000 instead of turbo sigma ( there are differences between the Jap and NZ versions, if you want life to be easier when you need something specific on particular components, like gaskets or wheel bearings or brakes, just look up JA starion parts or ask for JA starion parts as they are identical (as long as nothing has been replaced from factory and aside from the actual body and interior ) , its pretty much a sigma body with starion running gear, i know of 2 which have been defected for the engine and turbo although they came that way from factory and sadly never seen the road again
