GK Wagon

Post by Whitewagon »

Hi Folks, Picked up this sleepy looking GK Wagon a couple of months back. Main selling point was a lovely blue interior...and the fact it was a 2.6 manual.

Got it home cleaned up some rust and ordered a set of 15x8 and 15x9 Rotas, 0 offset. Easy fit with a little bit of stretch.
Also got some JDM looking mirrors just to set of the wheels.
Also fitted up with extractors straight through to a single muffler.

Next is to make some blanking plates for the old mirrors and work out how to take a couple more inches out of the suspension...and maybe some roof racks.

nice, looking bad-ass!
do you have any more pics?
I was thinking of putting 15x7 & 15x8s, 0 offset on my wagon. What tyre size are you running up front, do they scrub?

195s on the front 205 on the rear. A little scrubbing on the rear but maybe only needs a couple of mm to give clearance.
Front springs are cut and sitting on the bumpstops but the small wheels don't make it look that low. Need to look at strut mods to get it lower.

Rides not as bad as you would expect. Currently got some cheap Commodore shocks in there. However it looks like the strut has a double bump stop. May start by removing one.
Thinking I will have to get some shorter shocks and cut down the housing to get the look im after...or does anyone know of a strut with a shorter housing that would fit?

Pretty much want front front end to sit like this with a little bit of travel.
