wikid pics looks amazing have you looked into doing a v6 L67 s/c conversion as well? The ecotec L32 and it's s/c brother the L67 are psychically smaller than the buicks v6's as well so u will have a bit more room in the engine bay.

I've been pricing the C.O.M.E stroker kit - strokes it out to 4.2L (255ci in the old speak)
keeps the police happy that way as the car is fully engineered and i'm sure they wont know
the difference between 3.8L and 4.1

i think itd need to be engineered with a blower or turbo on it. this way the cops wont know the difference unless they pull the engine apart

Like Metry said, if i put a blower or turbo on it, i will need to get it re-engineered
and with the new NSW engineering rules my car would not be allowed on the road.

At least with a stroker set up, it all looks standard and to the average bloke they couldn't tell the difference
meaning not getting engineered again etc.

Very true.
I think for anyone to appreciate the actual room left over after this conversion, they need to see it in the flesh. There isn't much room for anything else to really be added at all?

Good choice with the stroker the best option if you want to keep it all legal and the same engine ,as i said above if you want a bit more room in the bay swap out for a L32 vs-vy ecotec. The vy engine made 140- 150 i think at the fly from factory they are a smaller motor same cc though they are a cleaner and more efficient engine as well , a mate and myself did a engine swap on a VR berlina droped a vy v6 in it same mounts same length wiring needed a bit of attention but essentally it was plug and play best up grade more room runs smother and more POWAHARRR.
Had to get a blue slip for engine swap but that was no problem at the time might be a real issue for you though best ask you engineer see how you go.

As for turbo if you are tight for space go rear mount just longer lines there are some great build in the US and even here in Aus of rear mount set up's keeps the heat out of the bay the inlet pipe can also act as a inter cooler in some cases due to it's large exposed surface area and you can keep your headers as is but it again might be an engineering issue but could be worth checking out.

Im still munted on how it passed an engineers report in its current guise

even if its std weight was 1099kg it would only allow 3297cc

New parts installed, drove down to sydney last night to pick them up

So far people that have seen the change are impressed
May even be pushing the boundaries of what i can do to this thing.

I have also come to the realisation that this is just an old car trying to be quick
so there is not going to be a stroker - fund have gone to latest purchase.

thats weird... my wheels are 15x8 +15 offset, the car is lowered 2 inches all round and you cant fit your fingers between the guard and tyre with 195/50r15's..

Yeah sorry dean I agree with the other boys, I thought the other wheels made the car, especially when you look at the pics straight after Dave painted it etc, and it had stock rims on it.

Hate to disagree with everyone here, but I think the new wheels are an improvement
Definitely need black/charcoal centres though. Something about the gold with the white and whatnot just doesn't look right.

Also, in my opinon, it would benefit from a 10-15mm drop all round. Not sure if you can flatten the inner lip bit on the guards and still keep the wheelarch trims though.
