Not taking mikey, i like it too,
Like alot of guy would agree, i just grew up on the old Car tele shows.

Hey just an idea, could you remove and blank off the side mirrors and put Japanese style front fender mirrors on?
In Black or maybe Chrome?

the front fender mirrors would look cool i rekon,i might have to polish up all the chrome on it too,as for springs,i just chopped them for the moment, may look at getting lowered springs and shortened shockies to suit, the front shocks are stuffed so its a touch bouncy at the moment, doin a new clutch in it in a week or so then a couple weeks after that im gonna take it down the strip to see how slow it is!!

and yes,im looking into gettin some rims for it too, been offered some 16 inch 2 peice silvia rims for it but just dont have the cash at the moment

If you go that way, can I buy the old mirrors? Mine are busted (thanks to pricks who feel it's a good night's entertainment to smash them off when parked).

Yep, my doors are from a GN wagon (gotta love tight-arse Mitsubishi, "why pay for another panel mould when we have a perfectly good one from 1978?") :D

Well, if you do go that route I'll certainly pay postage & packing. Getting sick of mine being held on with wire and duct tape.

I would never condone doing anything illegal... wink wink
But maybe a light tint on those tail lights would look good too...

Hey thought i would show you the Chrome mirrors i used on my LA
I got them from PITCREW here in Newcastle, probably get them, or get them ordered anywhere, but mostly from a hotrod or custom or performance shop...

I think they were about $70.. it was afew years ago.

Now I thought they looked pretty cool, but to be totally honest, thats all they are, is looks. they are absolutely useless if you want to actually use them, too small, cant adjust them etc....

But another option...

Image

Here you can Blurrily see they just fit on the side of you Bonnet and the grub screws hold them on..

And on the car

Yahoo Japan for the mirrors, most of the 80's cars over there came with electric fender mirrors from factory

This thing is coming along great. I am interested in how you mounted the 6x9's. Could you put up some more detailed pics please?. I have been putting this off because of where the tool kit part is.

i just cut holes in the plastics,i removed the jack,so if i get a flat,im stuffed hehehe,

the left one was a bit more involved as there is metal plating or bracing behind the plastics,i pretty much just cut what i needed out im gonna make up some mdf panels i think as they arent to solidly mounted, the plastics tend to rattle aswell
