Holy Shit!!!! how much are they charging.... tell em their dreaming.

that would want to be the full 1/4 mile to even consider that expense.
you can do a track day for that cost, with free spectators

for the pros, yeah fair enough, they have no where else.
but $30 to go watch is just friggin ridiculous, thats going to kill the sport just as much as not having it at all.

besides, all the true racers have gone interstate already.

thirty bucks does seem excessive, but it cost a bit to set up. so if all those people who complained that there were no drags here bail it will be a bit of a let down for adelaide.

All true racers have corners, lol

But seriously it is a tad ambishous to expect people to pay $30 to watch a bunch of 'P' platers in VZ Commodores doing what you can see them doing out the front of most pubs on a Saturday night.
If it was a 1/4 mile I would be willing to part with $130 just to put some times to my build but the hardtop was never meant to be a drag car and never will be.

Just think how many runs up the hill at Collinsgrove that $130 would get you

So what's the go with this? No info on the out-dated AIR site and the Racing Onn site just mentions drags from 8am to 11pm. Can't seem to find a schedule or any other info. I want to support the cause but I've been a bit crook of late so would want more info before attempting to make it up that way. Is there any structure to the event? Is it bracket racing? Doesn't seem to be very well promoted...... :(

Yeah I went. Apart from the extreme traffic jam and lack of parking, the event was fantastic. The best motor racing event I've been to in SA. Massive crowd, well catered, smoothly run, insane cars. I had my doubts about 1/8 mile as a competitor but as a spectator it was great.
