EOI, VIC Cruise, Ideas

Post by TUFSIG »

Hey People

I know we have quite a good number of Vic members so i figured maybe its about time we showed our spirit since the other states are having very successful cruises so i thought i would start up a thread to see who would be interested in a cruise?. I was thinking since it will take a while to gather opinions from everyone and numbers that maybe we aim to get one going in maybe Aug? and then maybe monthly ones form there. So what do people think?,

For Starters to get an idea of locations copy this text below and fill it out at the start of your post so we can see where everyone is.

I offer the suggestion of a cruise to Adelaide, so we can have more Mitsis and Chryslers at the next SA cruise.

Yes and no. It's not just the Vic's but were also trying to get the NSW people aswell.
Anyway, if ya have it this side of Melbourne i would be keen on a trip over for the weekend for the cruise.

Hey guys
i was out today looking for some nice roads or ideas for a cruise when i decided to take a trip up Mt Macedon and i think it would make a nice cruise to go up there since there is plenty of parking at the top also a cafe and plenty of tables and stuff for people to sit,

i took some pics while my mate was driving my car since i cant atm

Some crappy pics of the drive up but its all nice roads with some nice corners and strait runs

Some Pics of the Car park and up the top of the mountain

me and some of my mates cars who drove up

So thats one of my ideas would make a nice day cruise if this was the last point of it
maybe have a meet point before this ect

thoughts ?

I took another drive up there myself a couple of weeks ago in my Civic, haven't been game enough with the Sig yet

good to see members showing interest, i think what we need to do now is maybe make a short list of ideas for locations for a cruise and then maybe have a vote or something like that

I have done many cruises, if we are going to go west vic then it is easier to start eastern and progress west with three meet points. From the third point we then cruise to the destination, it thus becomes easier to organise, people like Luke who live west end will not need to drive across town to meet up then drive across town again. It is all part of organisation.

Essentially we start with a small team and the cruise just keeps growing as we get to the "main" or rather final meeting point. I have seen this done many times and it is the best way to do it. Then you think about people like 81GL (Nick) is in mildura, so for him to get to eastern is just dumb. Stay tuned to the proposed destinations for your closest meeting point.

Oh and when it comes to my car it will definately not be there. Currently off the road getting rebuilt. (well once it gets to my place.. :S)

Cheers
