Ride: JA starion, GK GSR Turbo (Autocross car almost finished)
Location Bendigo.

Macedon sounds like a good idea to me.
I would suggest a meet point at Calder park/taylors lakes.

Ride (s): two GE Sigmas, one 96 Nimbus 2.4 (for the wifey and kids) and my EF Futura daily driver... just as well I have a doubl car garage and long driveway now :)

Location: Ballarat

I reckon we should have a cruise to the Heathcote dragstrip and have a fun day hanging out and racing for fun and glory :) Calderpark is ok bt has too many tryhards with VLs, V8s, etc...

RIDE: 2 LB sedans.. which one i take depends on how long i have to prepare
SUBURB: marybrnong

suggestions for location: i have been sliding up and down mt. baw baw and mt. macedon, both are good drives but could be a bit hairy at the moment up the top, and would wanna hope your heater works well.
i think great ocean road could be the go, depends what people are after.. if its just a highway cruise i would suggest bright or even harrietville..

ok seems we have some pretty decent interest in this which is great

i think you made a very good point krohny about the roads and the conditions atm we dont wana have sum one go off the edge of a twistie road cause as we know our cars dont exactly handle the best.

i think maybe a highway cruise might be good for the starters and then maybe something different in the summer time

i think either great ocean road or up towards mt hotham way would be good then.. Nice drive for the last part of hotham way or fun roads along great ocean road. Although i can guarantee there will be a few wankers on the road going to the snow..
Let the peoples decide..

Id love to do the cruise aswell but as my Colt's for track only and i wont be driving the family wagon ill have to sit out this one :( But if in the future how about do a cruise to gippsland and come up to the hillclimb in Newborough and watch some racing. Or the other option would be to hire the track for the day.
its $1,500 for an Untimed Event or Timed Hillclimb (one day) $2,350 Timed Hillclimb (two days) $3,400. If we had enought people it wouldnt be that expensive. Just a thought.
Cheers Dave

Hey guys,
I don't think a half built rally car would be too good for a cruise but I know of a great spot to go. Halls Gap would be a good one as there is a nice highway cruise but when you get there, if you want some fun, turn off at the Northern Grampians Rd. The first few k's or so of this Rd are brilliant. Tight cambered corners and some fun straights. Google map search this Rd and have a look at the street view, awesome fun. For those who would like a family area, Halls Gap is great with a big playground and some nice bush waks to some waterfalls etc. Really beautiful little place. A couple or so hours drive from Melb.

Cheers

Anyone interested besides me and ISKA8? I cant organise though :ban: since I cannot guarantee my presence due to my clutch problem. However it isnt such issue at the moment, car is fine for cruising. Just nothing hektik.
