usually there isnt alot of the smaller cars in either of the three main marque shows (Ford, Holden and CHrysler)

And it is a great shame.....be good to see some more variety in these shows

It was a great weekend,
Drove the Scorpion from Melbourne to Albury then through to Sydney after the show.
There was a purple Galant Coupe there also, but didn't manage to get a shot of it though.

Is the Hemi 265 so heavy that it would need to be placed so far back in the engine bay or am I missing something? You could just about fit another engine in front of that. :wut:

I think its more about front/rear balance bias. Still, it's a dinosaur engine to put in that Sigma. To each their own

how was that engine actually enginered in suh a "late model car"......i was under the impression that the engine can't be older than the car it's powering

The engine is mounted in such a way that the car is basically a 50/50 weight balance, so its an 'MR'. The 265 with tripples setup in that car would absolutely fly, keep in mind back in the day the 265 would mince 351s, with todays technology and building know how, they are absolute weapons.
Now with an even weight distribution and good suspension, that would be one fun car to race

I used to own a mild 265 4 speed 3.9 rear Centura, that thing was a Weapon. I left it stock looking with hubcaps and 2 litre badges and a small dummy exhaust tip out back. It would destroy the Brock Commodores and 351 Falcons.
Rolling start it was deadly. Those 265s are a great engine.

I know this is a late reply (4 years aha) but the Sigmas actually my father's and he sat the 265 in it as a joke and ended up doing it, it sits so far back to allow for a big cooler otherwise the engine would overheat. Yes it is a hydro handbrake as this car was used for drag racing and hill climbing if you would like to contact him to talk about it further let me know, cheers.
