Queensland drives

Post by mckenzig »

Has anyone around the Brisbane area thought about running some sort of event for the locals?

Thought about it.. need some decent numbers for it to be worthwhile though

Would be great if we can
'81 GJ Scorp: Donated to a mate for a 2JZ Turbo project.
'84 Honda VT250F Integra: Daily transport, mountain racer and track bitch all in one.. damn slow in a straight line though
Future Project (on hold until I move to Melbourne in July): 2.6L Wideblock Astron 2 - Eaton M90 supercharger, draw through 45DCOE Weber.

yeah i have the idea all the time but not the time to do it.
its also a downer not having a running car.

but still very keen i will endevor to arrange something in the future.
one thought i had was to meet up at willowbank on a test and tune or other event so we can go enjoy the event and meet up and compare etc.

cheers

Brilliant idea that is..

And if we wanted, could even do a private betting pool.. all put in $20-50 whatever then do the test and tune
Compare time slips afterward and winner takes all
Just an idea for a bit of fun :P

Only problem is if 1 person shows up with efi turbo and the rest of us are all N/A carby powered

...Ok scratch that just a fun meet will do me

ok
i reckon even if a few of us dont have a running car we should still meet up.

first up when? i was thinking about middle of may only for selfish reasons becouse im flat out at work till then.
i say a saturday night is better than a wednesday ?
willow bank as the venue?
possible hold off on the betting pool just yet.

cheers

Yeah that betting pool probably wasn't a good idea..

Considering we can see each others cars on this website and with all the same engines its pretty easy to tell whos gonna be faster by what they've done to it.

Mid may sounds pretty good for a time so far. I'm hoping I'll be back on the road either tomorrow or first thing next week

It doesn't exactly look promising though
