I'm keen but the only problem is shift work. I can make it 23/2, 16/3, 23/3, 30 & 31/3. Any other day and i might be able to swap a shift. Can't wait to catch up and see everyone else cars.

Sounds reasonable to me.

How's 23/3/2013 sound?
That gives everyone plenty of time, and if I stick a rocket up gaPhil he might be able to make it as well...

Damn it, I didn't check the day the 23/3 was. I was just going off the dates 71GTOgalant said he was available.

So in that case, as I would prefer the cruise to fall on a Sunday, how does Sunday 24/3/2012 sound to everyone?
And is that date possible for you 71GTOgalant?

OK, sounds like there is some interest in the date.
Now times?

I've got to travel down from Newcastle for it, I don't mind getting on the road at about 6am?
So we'd be looking at what, a meet up time of about 9:30am at Windsor Maccas, with a 10am leave time to head towards Wisemans? That should get us there in plenty of time, and give us a good break for lunch/chat time and anything else you want to do, then possibly a 2pm to 3pm departure time to go our own way and head home in whatever direction.

The entire time I spent building, driving, rebuilding, driving some more and now looking longingly out the back door at what remains of the coupe, I was dying to get out on a cruise. That car was made for it! Never over heated, never played up, never used any fuel, it would have been great!

But if you'll still have me I can come along in the Datsun. Wisemans would be a good one for me as its not too far and thats a good thing considering the amount of fuel the thing uses.
I may even have the flares and not-ugly wheels on it by then, but I've also been promising that since June last year

But anyway, if you dont mind one of the opposition tagging along, put me down as in (A)

Isn't that the point of me posting this early?
I purposely give plenty of notice so everyone can plan around when they need to be running or not.

I will in the next couple of days, post a proper cruise notification with all details included.
If I have missed any details that anyone needs, feel free to let me know (no body's perfect, and certainly not me).

If points need to be organised for members from outlying areas to meet so they can cruise together to get to the main cruise, then let me know.
I will organise the Newcastle end, but will need help with other areas for locations and times etc...

Datsuns are acceptable in your instance Tj, we all know what has happened to your Galant hardtop, and hope that it's all back together and cruising in a neighbourhood near us soon.

Ill be at a rally with my beast on the 23rd, but will try and make it back for part of the cruise (maybe about lunch time) on the Sunday.
It will most likely not be in show and shine condition. But still hot to look at/listen.

Cheers

Thanks, but I'm glad to do it, it's long overdue.
You would not believe the last year or so that I've had

I'm still to put the final touches to the cruise and make an official event post (this is just a discussion topic).

Anyone have a suggestion for Newcastle meet up point so we can cruise down together? The usual meeting point at Wallsend is currently under heavy roadworks, and there are no parks to meet up at.
We could do the Twin servos on the freeway, or Freemans water hole, or I'm open to any other suggestions. The Newcastle members will need to be meeting up at approx 7amish at a guess?

I'd prefer Freemans Waterhole over the F3 servos. It seems more relaxed and you won't have everyone driving round and round to get a spot near each other. Still can get food, etc as well for those that want to.

Funny you mention that, I just finished rebuilding the brakes and took it for its first drive 10 minutes ago. Might not make the whole cruise but I'll aim to make the meet point at least. Been 'resting' for 5 years now.
