Replacing Gauges on GD Coupe

Post by RaptorReed »

Been thinking about replacing the stock gauges on the '76 for some aftermarket ones such as these http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/ ... prd725.htm . A bit on the Expensive side, but it would replace some of the old wiring.

Board has been semi slow, so discuss! :D

I have been thinking about this myself, I believe 77galantv6 has fitted an aftermarket tacho into his factory dash and it looks good.
I like the look of these (in the old school white) but what to put in the 3rd hole in the dash?

Probably leave it blank, my car didn't come with a tacho as it is, or I've thought about the using three Autometer guages - Tacho, Speedo and a Quad Gauge.

Quad guage looks like this

in my lancer dash i have a autometer oil pressure gauge in the far right hole that used to be a air vent, and a boost gauge mounted behind the wheel on the steering coloum.

Those Autometer ones do blend nicely as a good replacement, I think I may look into those instead.

Did you mean 3 3/8 by chance, because I don't see a 3 3/4 size anywhere.
