Its a Tachometer, Tacho for short

It must be a connection problem. Go back through all of the connections, and make sure it has a good earth connection.

Do you have it connected to the correct spot on the back of the cluster? When I was playing with mine the other day i noticed the back of all the clusters were the same and had 2 connections. 1 connection was marked 'clock' and the other 'tacho'. You haven't got them mixed up?

nah i dont have them mixed up. I read that :P

maybe its the earth...?

or just maybe its this clip its like a 'T' Has 2 inlets and only 1 wire... so logically you stick the end on the prong on the back of the tacho right? atleast thats what i done... and it stopped working... but it WAS working so dunno lol.
