Or an ISC "idle speed controller"

The ISC and/or Idle motor are just stepper motors (either 4 or 6 pin connectors usually) that can finely adjust the idle airflow
but
the idle solenoid (2 pin connector) is either on or off

I know the EA Falcon's have a solenoid and I'd expect the XD's have the same.

Cheers.

the falcon idle control solenoid is a ON/OFF air bypass.
its not adjustable and cant be used with PWM ecus AFAIK.

ive got one on mine and it raises idle to around 2000rpm when warm, so i made a new gasket for it with a smaller hole in it which makes it manageable.
