Having issues

Post by brendon »

Hey everyone,

The instrument backlights and the taillights dont work (same relay)

The fuse under dash seems fine but nothing works.

any ideas?

The interior lights including glovebox/centre console dont work either but they weren't working previous to this.

well is your relay working? mine went in mine last night, I have a GH and the headlight's wouldn't turn on, tracked it to the relay, tail lights and dash still worked until I removed it so (at least in my car and it is factory relay) it's a dual relay inside, even if your headlight's still work it could still be the relay. Also I could only get a replacement from factory mitsubishi or wreckers, but was only $24 anyway from mitsubishi. hope this helps, if you turn you lights on and hear a clicking from the relay it'll be that.

Check the dimmer. It wouldn't explain the tail lights but that could explain why the dash lights stopped working.

Cheers.

Kind of...
Had the same trouble in my GH, turned out the contacts of the relay weren't contacting for them (double throw relay - one lot for head lights, others do the tail & dash).

Also, try removing the socket and putting it back on a couple times.

What model car is it in??? And year.
Not sure if mitsu. keep that setup for the later vehicles?
