I'm wanting to spray my gal but not sure what colour. I want to keep the vinyl roof on it so I don't know if black or charcoal grey would suit it (anyone want to photoshop for me). Ideas anyone!

Do you have a pic of the actualy car as it sits?????

What colour is the vinyl roof?
Is your intention to keep the vinyl roof on the car?

I think the colour off my wagon suits a Galant very well (other may or may not disagree)

It really suits the factory interior colour as well, which is close in colour to your vinyl roof.

Is that red a 'factory red'?
It looks pretty faded now but have you tried hitting a spot with some polish to see how it looks?
If you like what you see, it would be much easier and cheaper to redo in the same colour.

I think the white vinyl roof looks great against the red.
Those wheels, however..

The white-balance in your original photo looks to have been way out.
Here's your car in its original paint (but deepened it a bit to simulate a polish).

here it is in charcoal (2 diff shades of grey)

By the way.. proper black looked terrible with the white vinyl roof.
Below is dark green as per 75wagon suggestion..

and a couple of other random colours just for the hell of it.

I still think you should stick with the red but hopefully these photochops help you make up your mind either way.

So do you think you'll be keeping it red?
She's lookin' good in the pic- just needs 1 or 2 pieces of trim replaced. I would consider wheels and stance to be a higher priority than a respray.

Here's your car with a set of wheels that i have a mad crush on at the moment..
They are 15in Ad-tek rims (SSR longchamp copies) available in 7 or 8in widths and whatever offset you like -check ebay if interested.

infinitely cooler than those current wheels.

Wheels are uber cool. But as far as paint is concerned, I would stick with the red. I haven't seen many red Galants about the place - but orange, white and the metallic leaf green are common enough. Has it been given a partial respray at some point that didn't match the original colour - or is that just the picture?

Yeah those wheels are sick! Will definitely have a look at them. I've decided to keep it the same colour, just touch it up. Really like the idea of a negative offset ☺

A lot of people will probably disagree but personally I like Sienna Metallic (or shiny s*** brown as I call it).
