Here's what it was like (a few years back, clear coated rooted now. I've just had all the visible rust repaired and and now looking at colours.

I'm looking for something not over the top and will suit the style.

I was thinking the original colour with a pearl (more metallic?)
or
these ford colours on the territory or the falcon ute

any other ideas/thought

My young bloke (who is behind me looking over my shoulder) suggested blood red of some sort. A metallic one.

I'm not a fan of the factory colour, but may I suggest something a little on the darker side to make the chrome rims stand out a bit, and make it look less grandpa (read as hardcore).

Dave...

i like the xr6 ornage but not the territory orange. red wouldnt look too bad on the wagon. would make the rims stand out. if its red candy apple is nice :)

is anyone able to photoshop the colour on the car.
1. in the territory bronze
2. the xr6 copper behind the territory
3. stock colour with a pearl/metallic [maybe gold] (not sure if this can be done)

I could probably get a better photo of the car if required..just ell me what would be best. and any other colours the person doing it my think looks good.
thanks.

I'm pretty sure I'll be doing a full repsray anyway cause the paint in the 'inside' doors, boot, bay needs to be fixed, crappy clearcoat, some rust repairs etc.

I like the colour, it's wheels that let it down in my book (H)

yeah there definitely a love or hate wheel. but 17" 5 spokes to fit sigmas were not common when i got them.
wheel choice will hopefully widen when i change to 5 studs though :)

I rememer having alot of trouble trying to find a colour to suit my wagon (GJ)

I used the colour of the interors inside other cars to see if they were a similar colour to mine (i had that tan/cream colour with brown) and eventually chose Daintree green which is on the KJ 2003-2004 Mitsubishi Verada's.....i couldn't have picked a better colour....suited the car perfectly....especially with the chrome strips around the windows and along the bottom sill and running polished rims...if you havent painted the car yet....look at that colour...see if you like it.
