Scorpion racing stripes

Post by brendon »

Hey guys,
been cleaning up the scorpion, getting back into some motorkhanas etc with the hopes of doing the Frasier coast sprints later this year.

The body on this one is pretty bad so is the paint, however I've been thinking of doing some stripes down the side to break up the white and give it a bit more a race car look.
was thinking a red, silver, black strip (i'mdoing somethign up in MS paint to show yous what I think I dont have PS. I have another scorpion, which is going to be seam welded, half cage (thanks QLD govt :@ ) good paint etc, so this will jsut be a rattle can job (look ok/good from far)

anyone else got some ideas, which might look good.

was also toyign with a matt black bonnet (as the paint on the bonnet is the worst part of the car, but I realise that's bordering on very camp.

Hmmm, it is a little big, but I'm not one for vinyls at all. But to others it could be good. Just go with what you want mate :) don't let anyone else tell you different

I think it's good to do decals.....just adds a nice personal tough in nothing more

im not really a decal fan myself either, but the angle stripes going up the side do look good and suit the car nicely.....If you wanted to go a little nit further than that tho, you could always put the red triple diamond emblem just infront of the stripe with "MITSUBISHI" on the doors

How would it look with something based on Starsky and Hutch stripes?

I'm just thinking you could use the width on the rear pillar and do something similar (maybe smaller though) towards the front...

Out of the 2 you have proposed, I prefer the first design, but the second one with close attention in full size could look really good. I loved that livery from the Ralliart Evo4's.

I think I am going for something like this on the Scorpion.

Or maybe a more factory style GS/R stripe
