Rubber at rear suspension??

Post by Interceptor »

I noticed my new LC was "hanging" on the rear left side and took off the wheels in the rear.

I saw that the right side have a rubber stop but the left side dont. Is this needed/standard? and where do i get a new one and whats it called?

Seems the struts are done as well and need changing(Which I already knew.

Anyone?

here are pics.

Its a bump stop. Essentially stops the diff from smashing against the chassis when you forget to slow down for a speed bump.
Common thing to perish on older cars as they get repeatedly hit.
A lot of different styles and designs but a lot of them will work on yours as a standard solid diff. Local pick and pull will probably have something if you take the sample bump stop down.
