Wheel options for a GH scorpion

Post by theozsnowman »

I'm trying to work out what will fit rim wise for my scorpion.

Having trouble finding anything 4stud 14 inch

Perhaps I need to go up to a 15? or to a 5 stud setup?.

Is this easily doable?

Any advice appreciated

I think basicly any 80,s RWD Jap with the same stud pattern. Sigma , Starion , Nissan RTX , Corolla , Mazda , I have even seen a Golf with pepperpots so presumably Golf rims will fit Scorpions.

Ok getting a bit of track here...

I'm more wondering max rim sizes and widths and orders, and tyre sizes that will work without any issues.

My 2 cars are in pieces so I can't take them to a shop to get looked at so am trying to figure out what's possible

If there's an easy way to move to a 5 stud setup or just up to a 4 stud 15 etc

Any advice greatly appreciated

The cars I can think of that are 15" and 4x114.3 are
Skyline (upto R34 providing its a non turbo 4 door)
180SX (early were 4...later were 5.....My guess is that there is a fairly easy change over between the two cars...dunno how it is between Nissan/Mitsubishi)

I'm sure there are others... but I just can't think of them at the moment

thanks...

so what about tyre and rim combo's was thinking that if i run a 14 i will run 225/60R14's if they will fit the wheel arches clenly

im just not sure what the biggest tyre size that i can run is, both on a 14 and 15... hence why im trying to narrow this down so i can search for the right combo...

im leaning towards superlites but im unsure of what tyres will fit, both the rim and the arch space...

Back in the day I was going to chase up a set of Nissan TRX rims for my wagon. I thought they would look pretty good painted up. (These were on Gumtree recently) I initially fitted up a set of Starion mags, then went to pepperpots, then to turbo rims, then back to pepperpots.
