Post by Paulvdsterren »

Hi all,

I am having difficulty to decide which upper control arm i should buy, can you guys help? Btw i need both sides.

This one from omega auto parts
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MR124879-Suspen ... 35bc16e805

Or this one from beck&arnley
http://www.amazon.com/Beck-Arnley-101-6 ... 78TS25NY4Q

Or the oem really expensive ones
http://www.discountmitsubishiparts.com/ ... 24879.html

Please help make up my mind. If you have other better suggestions i am interested!

Thanks!

Looking at the links you've posted - the one on AMAZON appears to be the lower control arm only (so you can cross this one off your list). The item on EBAY is both upper and lower control arm assemblies with all new replacement outer tie rods (that explains the price...) and the item on DiscountMitsubishiParts is a genuine factory OEM replacement upper control arm. For what it's worth- I'd be buying the EBAY item. That way the entire control arm is replaced with the tie rods (the cost of freight is $$$ but as you're getting a discount for a number of items at the same time, I think it's worth it). Is there any reason why you're not going to rebuild the existing control arms? It would work out a lot cheaper...

Classic to see a reference to a Montero here... and more surprising it's from Holland. I always thought the Montero was the Pajero re-badge for Spanish speakers, since pajero (pronounced pah-herro) is rather rude en español :)
