Gave them a call Mic they have a gh in and a few later models. Is the gh strut the only one that would work or will the later models be fine too?
Thanks for your help Mic i really appreciate it.

Big brakes are simple on GH Sigma 2 bolt struts, you can use ANY big brake kit that's designed for a TE-F Cortina and they are a direct bolt on for GH Sigma struts !

That link takes my to the Ebay home page

If the kit is for a TE Cortina then yes it will fit

I run a TE big brake kit from Castlemaine rod shop on my GH, only thing I had to do was add some spacers between the calliper mount on the strut and the new calliper bracket

The link should go to a UPC brake kit they have it listed for TC,TD,TE,TF for $899 good cheap way for a road legal kit much cheaper than hoppers.

I have a half inch spacer to stop the bolts in the Simmons hitting the calliper.

The engineer I spoke with on a couple of occasions is happy to engineer my car once I change a few things one of them being the callipers he said that the hub and disc setup is fine.
If you want it to be a street car I would look at the hoppers kit or if the te cortina fits look at the UPC kit they are better priced compared to hoppers.

I wouldn't mind getting a UPC kit so I could 100% confirm its a bolt up, I can 100% confirm that the CRS Cortina kit fits on the sigma 2 bolt struts, this allows you to use 298mm falcon discs and wb Holden callipers or VT commo callipers with some minor mods to the calliper bracket

Im pretty confident the UPC conversion would fit up the same as the CRS kit

The use of local callipers makes the hole conversion easy on a sigma as a 1" commo or falcon MC bolts up to the sigma booster !

Don't know if this helps,

I'm currently doing brake upgrade on GD Galant Rally Car:

Been using early scorpion Struts for a while now that have been converted to coilover (straight bolt up very simple). Currently with a bit of mucking around I am adapting, 4 pot Series 3 RX-7 4 pot calipers with Starion rotors. These calipers you can pick up pretty cheap and they are very light (Cast Aluminium construction) I got mine for $150 delivered from ebay in the US. I have had to hand make the brackets and spacers required and there is a little bit a machining required but I pretty confident it will all work.

Cheers,

Andrew

Hey Mic how did you centre your simmons with the hub. Are you using the lugs to centre the wheel because the wilwood hub centre is cone shaped you couldn't use it as a locater to centre the wheel perfectly so theres no vibration. A lot of wheels use the centre hub as a locater to centre the wheel perfectly. What have you done?

Thanks Steve

Wheel studs centre the wheel just as good as any hub, the centre hub does not support the wheel in any way (that's why some hubcentric rigs are plastic), its basically the friction between the wheel/hub combined with clamping from the fixings that hold the wheel in place
