disc brake rear end

Post by orangelancer »

Hey all sgers,

im losing brake fluid now so i thought there is no better time to upgrade the brakes on the car. i just wanted to know what the easiest disc brake conversion for the rear end of an lc lancer hatch is. what have you guys done, what brakes and calipers did you use and how did you do it?

cheers

For me the scopian rear end was the easy choice for me.
Ticked all the boxs High 3.3 ratio Disc brakes and l was able to get an Lsd
Was an easy coversion , used 65x65 box section to make up the mounts.
Tail shaft bolts up, brake hose to body bolted up , and your wheels fit aswell.
The only thing that dicked me around was the hand brake cable and the cable mounts on the diff.
l chopped about 40 mm off the cable holders on the diff to bring the cable closer to the diff.
Then there was the hand brake lever and running the cable .
If it was a sigma BW diff it would have been alot easyer for the hand brake .
