guys, i need some help with the rear end of my 73 wagon.
the rear was dropped 2 inches with blocks, but when they did it they used too large of a u-bolt and modified the stock plate.
Can anyone point me in a direction to get the correct sized u bolts for this axle? any chance I can buy that piece somewhere?
Also wanting to replace all the bushings in there, again, any direction?
Rear Leaf bushings, u bolts, plates, etc???

Found them on Ebay, any way of knowing which rear pin i have other than measuring it?
Suits models with 80mm pin

Suits models with 104mm pin

Not really but I have two thoughts, lol
80mm would be first gen and 104 would be second
or
80mm would be sedan and 104mm would be wagon
I guess either way you will need the 104mm IMHO

Re: Rear Leaf bushings, u bolts, plates, etc???
Pretty sure you need both, the 80mm ones would be for the rear shackles on the rear of the leaf spring and the 104mm would be for the front of the leaf spring (correct me if im wrong, but im sure this is the case)
EDIT: I may be very wrong if the 80mm measurement and the 104mm measurment is for just the rear shackles

You might be onto something there Jono.
I was thinking the "pin" we were talking about was the locating pin on the spring plate but it may well be the rear spring hanger. Upper (Body) would be about 80mm and lower (Spring) would be 104mm

Re: Rear Leaf bushings, u bolts, plates, etc???
Well, here's the scoop:
on my 1973 wagon
this bushing:
http://www.nolathane.com.au/product_det ... mber=47132
is rear shackle, LOWER bushing
this bushing:
http://www.nolathane.com.au/product_det ... mber=47131
is rear shackle UPPER bushing
so it depends on if you have staggered width rear shackle, since i have one wide and one narrow i need two different kits, if i have both narrow, i need two narrow kits.
I ordered everything i need (hopefully) to get the rear end all firmed up.

Should do the trick. I have KYB gas shocks and the rear spring hangers are nolathane and it is surprisingly stiff.
