Hi all, question for all you knowledgable folk.
When i got my Galant, it came with a booster and master cyl on it (master is broken) and came with a spare one, can you guys tell me which one is better or what they are off..

Also came with 1 of, this wheel https://www.dropbox.com/s/fr6moo2j1nlcxik/IMAG2010.jpg. Being a commodore guy from way back, i have a touch of a soft spot for these and wouldnt mind getting a full set.

Thanks people! most appreciated!

The one in the car is a sigma one, the other is a Galant (GC/GD). As for 'better', not sure what you mean. More fluid capacity, bigger internal bore, alloy Vs cast steel? And the wheel you got with the car - not a Commo obviously. Looks like it could be off a Hyundai (Elantra is my guess) so the fwd offset will most likely not work on the Galant.

Seeing as you like those rims so much! Lol :P you can get the offset changed.. Or get complete new ones made the way you want! 15x6 with whatever offset. They do them in any size, width and offset between 13x4 up to 17x10. Or opposite! 13x10 and 17x4. Lol imagine that!? Also in any stud pattern. If you can't find somewhere that will make steel rims. I'll try and find a link for ya :)

Excellent, thanks very much for your help guys!
Ill just try to make the GSR brakes fit on the galant i think - thats going to be my best option.

And A112H - Perfect!!!! this ones a 14, so R31 will be ideal!!!!
Champion!

The Volvo S40 also came out with similar wheels, but they were 15". I did have a set of S40/V40 rims on my Hemi Orange GE Sigma a while back, they fit on the rear with 205/65R15 beefy tyres and 195/50R15 on the front for that hotrod look!

Just make sure the front to rear ratios are the same!

Going back to the master cylinders you have there, the early GE Sigmas also had the twin reservoir type. My GE has it and I'm looking at upgrading to the big rectangle reservoir one you have fitted to your car. I'm upgrading the master due to also upgrading the front discs from the tiny standard discs to bigger GN Sigma ones. The only difference I noticed with the brake lines is the older twin reservoir master has some sort of proportioning valve in the brake lines mounted on the firewall on the passenger side. The strange thing is, the RHF brake line goes straight from the master to the wheel, while the other line from the brake master goes straight to that weird block junction that then splits the lines into two, one for the LHF and the other going to the rear brakes.
