4g32 with KM132 what clutch?

Post by Benharjon »

Hey guys i have picked up an L200 KM132 to put in the coupe behind the 4G32... but i have a couple questions...

1. Which tailshaft can be used? or do i need to mod one?
2. Which clutch do i need to use? or custom one?
3. Anything else i need to know?

Cheers :)

Well I had a Poke around u pull it today and got an l200 yoke, however due to the circlip arrangement this wont work (thanks for the heads up mike!). So I found one from a gn sigma wagon with wide jap 5 speed and looks tO be the goods!

I have also flicked through the clutch. Atalogue and it looks like a 215mm sigma setup may work on the Saturn flywheel? Or if not I will get a custom friction plate...

I am pretty sure a 2.0 sigma clutch will do the job Ben, not positive though. If you didn't live 16 hours south of me I could bring my 2.0 flywheel around to check

Haha cheers jase all good tho! I have a 2.0lt flywheel (used to be on your 63 :P ) but flywheels cant be interchanged - Saturn is 5 bolt and astron 6... But I am hoping the sigma clutch bolts to the Saturn flywheel... :z

Cheeky shit, lol
Yeah I think they do. Why don't you chuck a 2.0 in it? Just walk in rego with a 4G52.

4speed and 5 speed (narrow jap) are the same yolk spline.
I had a 4 speed in my GC and changed it to the jap narrow. I used 4G32 flywheel and clutch and the same tail shaft.
Only difference was that shifter was a bit further back in floorpan and cross member had to be moved back one lot of bolt spacings in the floor.
Apart from that everything is the same :)

Yeah i know the "small" Jap 5 speed has the same output and input shafts as the 4 speed, but i got an km132-9 which is essentially a starion box in the narrow casing... meaning it had the large input and output shafts... making it a slight pain in the arse to run with the 4g32 flywheel!

But i just got the smaller box for now! problem solvered!!
