Is it possible to change the shifter location on a Borg Warner 5 speed like it is on a Jap 5 speed?
I have just picked up a fully rebuilt BW 5 speed, and the shifter location is too far back for practical use in a Galant. I'd like to use it, but it's so close to the handbrake lever it's beyond a joke.
Any info would be much appreciated, this is something I don't have a clue about

Re: Borg Warner 5 speed info
Go jap 5 speed and give the BW to someone you don't like.
A 5 speed put of a triton (4G54 of course) will bolt straight up to the wideblock and the gearstick position is in the place as the GE-GH sigma/scorp, AND they are a stronger gearbox. Most are also cable clutch, not hydraulic like the Starion.
Cheers.

But the question is, is it possible?
