I may have one out in the shed if its there you can have it but I am in melb though . I wont use cast flywheels in my engines anyway ,for what I wont they are to heavy and I wouldn't dream of putting anything on my crank with a crack in it.
I even dont wont to use a clutch with a cast presure plate - not after exploding one at sandown

It will be a lot stronger than a cracked one.

I believe the ring gear is the same. A lot of people run Magna starter motors in a Sigma and vice-versa.

Yea i run a magna starter. Reduction drive means faster cranking and easier starting. Plus there all about 10 years newer and plenty in wrecking yards.

Straight bolt in.
I just picked mine up at the wreckers, probably $30 or so. Heaps of magnas just try to find one that looks like a reco.

Reduction starter is the way to go. Spins the crank faster, & easier on the battery. Brand new costs $120~$160, or much less S/H, typically $50~$100. Also S/H ones will be much newer the stock S/H starters.

Cheers guys might do that when i was ordering parts from auto1 the other day i had a look in the book and apparantly my car supposed to have a battery with 600CCA (cold cranking amps)
thats nuts i think. Any1 have an idea wat size battery the magna has? when i bought the car it only had a 520CCA battery in it so i have to use another battery to start it everytime so annoying.

My rally Sigma has only a 360CCA battery. No problem starting using a reduction starter after sitting idle for a month between events. :P In fact I recently drove it into the shed on the starter motor when I ran out of fuel. A 520CCA battery should have power to spare, or the battery is past its use by date.
Also I have real heavy duty battery leads, good quality battery terminals, plus the motor is earthed to the chassis rails on both sides of the motor. All this makes a difference, together with a 100 Amp alternator.
I'm here for a good time, not a long time !
