What RWD gearbox will bolt up to a 6A12, 2L v6 DOHC engine?

I had to assemble the front pump to make sure of the final depth of the bellhousing


you can see why the starter was located in the housing because everything was so tight but it all fits neatly


I weld a while, cut a while, machine out a while and just keep doing it, over and over again

Seriously impressive work Bill. Are you planning on making one for a manual or does the C4 use the same bell housing as a single rail 4 speed or a top loader?

yes, I have the parts required to build the manual trans set up, I need a few more simple peices to make it happen
It would continue to be a reverse starter so the engine can be properly mounted low in the cars frame
at this piont it would use the T 5 WC trans or the TKO 500/600

to be perfectly honest, this is a 6G series engine, that may differ from the 6A series V-6

Still a twin turbo 6G72 from a GTO in a little Sigma would be acceptable, lol

I can only see one small change and that is the lower rear bolt is a bit higher in the A6 I can adjust that

I had a 2000 VR4 Galant with the 6A13TT and it was fun and pretty quick with a 0-60 time around 5 secs but it had to weigh 500kg more than a GE wagon

yeah, I worked out all the details with the molding last month and that is the first casting, I was suprised, I had built the original pattern larger than what I thought was nessacary but it worked out pretty close to where I wanted it so I will probably leave the orinal anloe

So this is for a C4 onto a 6G series engine or 6A??

I used the dohc 6G72 engine block to build the bellhousing design and I used the 'case fill' C 4 transmission



I also have the 'pan fill' C 4 trans but did not use that bolt pattern in my design, the 6A12 looks close to the 6G7x series but its lower rear bolt is placed a bit higher, now that I have a pattern I can work with, the 6A12 could be adjusted into the design

I need to do a couple other builds ( I have a back log of work) and then add the T 5 or TKO trans option to this housing ( somebody said I 'couldn't do it' )

I like the idea of an early Sigma fitted with the V6 and auto combo, chuck some A/C and P/S at it and it would make a great daily and good tow car too
