Nope, they don't. They're the same unit as the Pajero LSD, and therefore somewhat too big :(

the very first model l300 4x4 van had an 8 bolt lsd 4.6/1 in the front
diff and a ten bolt rear from memory (long time ago)
and yes i have the 8 bolt put it into a la lancer housing
since then its had 4.22,3.9 and now 3.54 gears
as far as i know the second model has the ten bolt

I have a mate with an awd magna, and we have been trying to talk him into letting us take the diff centre out to see if it fits.
His pretty suborn because his think now that there's no magnas, it's worth like 30 grand. Some idiot keeps telling him they're gonna be a collectors item.

He's right. I was at my mates resto workshop and asked him what was under the cover of a car he had in the corner, he said a genuine TP magna (GLX) and not to tell anyone.

sigma borgy is an 8 bolt, falc borgy is a 9 bolt and much larger than the sigma unit, 9 bolt is 25-28 spline

though the last of TF Cortina's came out with the small 8 bolt diff, still no option of an LSD but they had 2.77 gears

there`s no ltd slip cntre that fits sraight into the sigma bw housing
if your handy you can build one
we cut the cntr housing out of a ford lsd diff made a jig then cut sigma bw axle tubes off a std sigma diff & welded and pluged them to the ford center, had the falcon axles shortened re drilled and resplined used sigma end plates & std sigma bearings and seals
wallah-- a 4.1 lsd that fits a sigma --works good to total cost was aprox 600 bucks

Mate, I'm amazed you haven't had 1000 pm's by now. I guess even 600 bucks for an lsd is too much for some people.

Why not go to a scorpion diff and run a cusco lsd centre. Yahoo japan has a few on there at the moment. The other option is to steal a lsd from a small starion diff (if you can find one) it will fit with a mistu 10 bolt.
I have been looking into a evo 1-3 lsd unit, as i believe they may be the right size for the job in a 10 bolt.
Here is the diff in my ex which is the same as a scorps.

And here is a pic of a libero diff that a evo centre will bolt straight into.

Is great to see there are still people out there Rallying Sigmas. There is a solution to LSD in Sigma. All you need is Rear Drive '83ish Turbo Lancer (there were lots in New Zealand) Rear axle assembly and pretty much bolt it straight under a GJ or K. If you have a GH, you need a GH Scorp rear axle assembly, swap all the bits across then bolt it on. You will also need to swap to Jap rear flange for tail shaft. Have a GH version sitting on my back verandah. You also end up with vented rear disk brakes as a bonus.

Turbo Lancer diff is a 10 bolt housing, ratio 3.9 : 1. Brake balance works ok with standard sigma brake set up. You also need to get the handbrake cables etc which are same as scorp.

ExRally,
The 1st pic i posted is a diff out of a lancer ex. I have written this a few times and people don't seem to take notice. It is nice to see that someone else can back up my opinion (thanks) :D

And also what is required to fit them into a scorpion diff. Is it just unbolt the open centre on bolt in the LSD or does it require the axles, bearings etc to be changed over? I couldn't find anything of real detail with google at all. I'm sure if it was just the diff centre to be bolted in people here would be happy to change to the scorp diffs.

I couldn't see much on trademe either apart from a complete lancer with the diff. Pity there are almost no NZ members on here. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 643270.htm

A late model scorpion diff is a 10 bolt, and a EX lancer lsd is a 10 bolt also. Spline count will be the same and it is just the tailshaft flange that EXRallySigma mentioned. If you start to search on trademe, your chasing a the gsr turbo version as it was the one with the lsd.

All this talk is making my EX rare in aus :D
