Diff choices for a GH Sigma?

Post by Andy »

Keen to go for an LSD Diff in the Siggy, but unsure what setup would be best bang for buck both money and time (installation) wise?

Have heard that VL Turbo diff's are a good choice, but what is required to get them to fit snug under the bum of a GH?

What are my other, easy, options?

aren't GTS diff's IRS?

If R31s fit, I'd just get a Silhouette diff, cheaper and easier to find, and they have a lsd standard.. it's crap but you can fix it cheaply and easily, just add a shim or two and it effectively becomes a decent LSD.

Personally I'm going to be going with a Hilux diff myself when I get around to it.. more stuffing around, but damn strong!
looking to start an mechanical apprenticeship, if you know of anyone in Melbourne or Gippsland who's looking for a first year, let me know!

Any idea what'd be required to get the R31 diff into the car? I'm assuming R31 Skyline, not R31 Pintara (Pintara has drum brakes, Skyline is disc).
