I just swapped my 78 colt from auto to manual, I used a km110 and when I pulled it from the donor car ow oils go through the gears fine. Now that it’s in my car it’s stuck in 3rd. All I did to it was change the output shaft seal, drop the pan and change the gasket and put new fluid in it. Checked the fluid level and it’s correct. Any help on why it’s stuck in 3rd?

Most likely the gear stick. The plastic bush gets damaged easily and it may have come out jamming something. FOR the sake of a couple of bolts I"d pull it out and check there is nothing in there, and if you can manually move the selector shaft.

I have the gear stick out and can’t move the shaft into another gear. It moves forward and backward but not side to side. The bushing it cranked and I have a replacement on the way.
