Hi GUYS!I am into a lancer GSR replica conversion from a 1978 model.Searching the forum read about the jap 5sp gearbox.Just to clarify this cause i am a newbie in all these, that is from a galant or sigma in australia.
Is this the second generation Galant?
Are there any alternatives either from Mitsu later models or any other compatible gearbox for the 4g32?
It is not only for rallying ,it is just i want to be as more "period correct" as i can.Thank you in advance for your time!

I just put a 5 speed gearbox in my 1977 lb lancer the best option is one out of a ge or gh sigma 2.0l it has to be out of a 2.0l because you need a narrow block gearbox to fit a 4g32 a 2.6 is a wide block so the sigma option is a km132 narrow block all you have to mod is move the gearbox crossmember back and get a ge gearbox mount that what I did or a lc lancer has km119 5 speed harder to find and not as strong same mod hope that helps a bit good luck
