Triton to Sigma clutch help.

Post by A112H »

Okay, So I am assembling a Magna (narrow) 2.6 block and plan on using a Triton box that I have.
Problem at the moment is finding a suitable clutch plate.
Has anyone done this before? If so what clutch did you use?

See the narrow flywheel (215mm) is fine and so is the pressure plate. Problem is the narrow clutch plate only comes with a 21 spline centre.
The Triton box is a 23 spline. The only 23 spline clutch plates I can find (Triton, L200, L300 and Pajero) all use wide block flywheels (225mm)

Does anyone know if there is a 215mm 23 spline clutch plate available? And what model it is from?

Cheers

I think R184H from an 1984 sigma onwards with a 2.0 litre and jap box they seem to have 23 spline in the 215
I just go on the clutch industries catalogue on line . Or sigma clutch's on Ebay some of the stores give a link
That is how I worked out my gearbox / engine marriage

Picked up an Xtreme clutch today P/N DMI2223201. 215mmX23splineX26mm
All fitted up perfectly. Apparently this is the same clutch used by the rotor guys when fitting a S4/5 RX7 gearbox into an older car???
That is what the sales guy told me, don't really care $67.25 later, it is a better looking clutch and it is all buttoned up :D
