Disc brake hand brake cables

Post by lance »

Hi all lve just about completed a scorpion diff conversion to my hatch . All is good except for the hand brake. The lancer has 2 cable pull but the scorp is one cable to the hand brake lever. My question is..... Will the scorp or gh sigma disc brake hand brake lever bolt into the Lancer .And if so has anybody got one for sale in Melbourne??
One other thing is those big dust shields !!! Do l need them ?? and do l need the gasket for the wheel bearing retaining plate ??

Thanks Mark

HI all .... l decided to keep the Scorp hand brake cable and disc brake dust shields so to look a bit factory. The hand brake lever that l picked was from a Nissan Skyline . It has a mount to hold the outer tube of the cable . It has a small mod to make it bolt in without any mods to the car. The axels wider track look s good under the hatch and the taller gearing makes it a good cruiser . Next step the motor

If you want to keep it "in the family" you can always use TM-TP Magna rear calipers as they also use the same PCD as the Sigma...and still use the integral mechanism for the H/B on the caliper (just be mindful that sedan and S/W are slightly different)

Ford Falcon's used H/B caliper from 1971 to 1994. (ventilated rotors upto 1987, solid rotors from then on)
