Hey guys,
I have recently picked up a 84 GK Sigma and am so excited to get working on it.
One issue that I am having trouble with is the reverse lights. It has a BW 5spd and when I push down and left, the lights go on but once I put it into gear and take my hand of the shifter, the connection is lost and the lights go out. I tried cleaning the sensor terminals but I think it is an issue inside the box.
Has anyone had this problem before or know how to rectify it?
Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue
Remove the reverse light switch from the gearbox....the get someone to slowly engage reverse gear.....see if the lil notch/divet lines up with the switch at any point.....my guess it that it's lining up the moment u select the shaft, but moves as u select the gear

Thanks for the quick reply
I will try that this weekend. If it is losing contact (from what I can tell towards the top of the H plate) what would you suggest for increasing the contact area?
Thanks

My reverse lights have stopped working recently and i cant work out why.
I have new bulbs and i have checked the fuse.
Someone suggested that it might be the reverse switch under the bonnet.
I cant find anywhere that says where it is, can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks

What car, and what gearbox?
